Celebrate Independence Day with Family Fun in Nichols Park

Join us July 4th for an afternoon of fun in Nichols Park!  Our plans have been developed with safety at the forefront, but still involve lots of family fun.

July 4th, 11 AM -3 PM

Nichols Park, 53rd & Kenwood. (No Parade).

Activities located between 54th & 55th streets

Lawn Games: Hula Hoop Challenge! Madeline Ring Toss! Clown Bean Bag Toss! Croquet – big and little kid versions!  Little kid obstacle course including basketball hoop! Cornhole & kiddie beanbag toss! Hop Scotch & balance course!   Prizes and More!

Activities: Bike decoration, a parade tradition, will be part of the day’s festivities! Magician John Measner will delight kids of all ages! Double Dutch jump rope by Black Girls Jump! Chess! Pony Rides! Music and stories with Mary Macaroni! Disc-golf sponsored by Hyde Park Disc Golf!

Music: Blues band Bryant & the Blues Kings.

We need you: Volunteers still needed for before, during, and after.
